Gender Revolution Screening

Please join the Holmes PTO for a community screening of National Geographic’s “Gender Revolution,” which follows Katie Couric as she explores the complexities of gender identity. Parent Workshop: How to Raise Resilient Children

This presentation will review specific interventions designed to assist children in managing their anxiety, as well as promote increased motivation, healthy goals setting and active school engagement for the child. Factors that contribute to avoidant behaviors, as well as ways to early identify maladaptive coping responses will be explored. Attendees leaving the presentation will have learned how to develop parenting strategies to assist their children with healthy coping responses and engage them in effective communication and language that promotes self-advocacy and independence.  Childcare will be provided please contact Lou Anne Johannesson ljohannesson@op97.org.

PTO Community Meeting (Evening)

District 97 board members will be present to discuss the latest details about the April referenda and the impact that it will have on our school, students, and community.  Additionally, Principal Zelaya and her team will come to discuss Second Step, the new social emotional curriculum being rolled out districtwide.   As always, free childcare is provided.

Dine Out – Nando’s Peri Peri

Please join us for our March Dine Out at Nando's Peri Peri, located at 1138 Lake Street.  Dine Out hours are 4-11 pm. 40% will go back to Holmes PTO.
